Description

Date formats in Dartmouth data are 8 digit numbers where the first 4-digits are year, the next two are month, and the final two represent the day.

Zeroes are used as placeholders when dates are unknown.

For example, 19900000 simply means "1990." While 19920221, on the other hand, is February 21st 1992.
